many years now that main border posts do print the migration card, the agent processing your passport fills in the terminal the data of the "inviting" field, then print the card, makes you sign it.
Few minor crossings do still provide bunch of blank cards that people fill themselves.
you just read the "invited by" field on your visa:


in case of european buss/road crossing, North to South they are by now: Kirkenes-Murmansk Tallin-SPb, Tallin-Pskov and Riga-Pskov (both cross in Estonia at Luhaama) and Gdansk-Kaliningrad.
ie. Borisoglebsk, Ivangorod, Shumilkino, Mamonovo. I used all of them in the last year, and I don't recall well but I think only Borisoglebsk had still blanks to fill oneself.
